Family life is personal. We want you to know what you share with us and what stays with you.
What we collect
When you sign up for updates, we collect your email address and, if you choose to share it, your parent's ZIP code. We also record where you signed up. When you contact us, we collect your name, email and the answers you choose to send, including optional ZIP and family information.
Why we collect it
We use this information to send updates you requested, reply to your messages and understand which guides and local services readers want. We never sell your data. Services that help us run the site and deliver updates may process information for those purposes.
Your tools stay with you
Information you enter in our tools stays in your browser, not in our email list or contact records. Your browser saves progress on your device. Clearing its saved data removes that progress. On a shared device, other people using the same browser may be able to see it.
Community and polls
If you create a community account, we keep your sign-in email and chosen display name. Your display name, posts and replies are public when visible. Reports help us moderate the community. Please do not post private medical details or full names of family members. Poll choices are saved with a browser identifier to limit repeat voting. Signing in and remembering tool progress also require browser storage.
Unsubscribe or ask for deletion
You can unsubscribe from updates anytime. Use the unsubscribe option in an update, or email hello@thesandwichers.com. You can also write to that address to ask what information we hold, correct it or request deletion. We may need to confirm the request is yours and retain information required for legal or safety reasons.
